Stoke Prior First School, Bromsgrove

Special Events Autumn 07 - Summer 08

A big thanks to all of the parents who gave up their time on a Saturday morning to paint and weatherproof our playhouses.
The whole school supported Children in Need by donating £1 to "Go Spotty" and wear non-uniform for the day.
Every year Ploymer Latex support our school by running a Christmas card competition. This year a pupil from Class 3 was the overall winner and her design was made into a Christmas card and sent by Polymer Latex to their customers around the world. The winner also won vouchers for herself and for the school.

Any ideas what may be inside??

I will let a pupil from Class 4 explain!!

"Today we went into this big blow up thing called a Starlab.  All of us had to crawl in and inside I felt like I was in space, it was amazing!

A man called Steven put this shiny see through rock in front of the projector and it was like a tiny rainbow.

Steven turned the lights off and put these stars on.  I saw the Pan, the Big Dipper, The Great Bear, Milky Way, Jupiter Hercules and much more.  Steven said that over a million planets can fit into the sun.  I was so amazed.

I really enjoyed today and learnt a lot more about stars as well."

Tree Planting

2 of our Eco Warriors helpled local MP

Julie Kirkbride and Edward Webb to plant a very special tree.

It was donated by Webbs of Wychbold, to commemorate our 21st birthday.

Obstacle Course Helpers

Our super band of School Association members and helpers who turned out in force for our giant fund raising

Obstacle course event.

One of our Class R pupils racing through the obstacle course on one of her 10 laps.

Last year  £1000 was raised with the support our families.

Healthy Lunch Box Competition

The whole school submitted some very colourful and interesting lunch box ideas for this years Worcestershire Healthy Lunch box competition.

Two of our pupils designs were selected by the Worcestershire team to be entered into the final.

Although not chosen as the outright winners, our pupils were really pleased to receive a certificate and some very useful stationery!
